Anattalakkhana Sutta (SN 22.59) Read full sutta

This lecture explores the characteristics of non-self explained from the Buddhist Text.

"Form, bhikkhus, is not-self; if form were self, then form would not lead to illness (affliction) and it would be possible to tell the form: 'May my form be thus, may my form not be thus'; and indeed, bhikkhus, since form is not- self, therefore form leads to affliction and it is not possible to say of form: 'May my form be thus, may my form not be thus.”
